Architectural design is a collaboration process between the client and the designer.

The design flow is also a series of the decision making steps, and often this process gets interrupted. Quick, freehand studies and sketches created for comparison of schemes and architectural details can efficiently unblock the process, and push both the designer and the client in the right direction.

Urban design needs similar collaboration, and visualization sketches are needed to present a vision or streamline a project. Quick illustrations are more cost effective and  more efficient, and they provide a valuable tool during the charrette design process.
